t’s been a busy and productive summer behind the scenes at After School Club! Over the holidays, our pod was relocated to the back car park and completely refurbished to create a brand-new kitchen space dedicated to our club which we are calling The Pantry.

This exciting development became necessary when our new hot meals provider, ISS, was unable to supply meals for After School Club. Rather than see our children miss out, our fantastic After School Club team rose to the challenge and are now preparing delicious meals from scratch right here on site. We have also just been awarded a 5 star rating for Food Hygiene.

We are delighted to have recently finalised a rolling three-week menu, offering a variety of nutritious and tasty options for the children to enjoy.

Over the past few weeks, children have been sampling meals from the new menu, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. It has been wonderful to see them trying new dishes and enjoying freshly prepared home-cooked food at the end of their school day.

We order food on a Friday for a Monday collection and so cannot always have enough food for the children who were booked in late. We can offer toast or crumpets if this is the case, but cannot guarantee the main meal for the day.
